It sounds silly, but this is the same thing with God. If one is going to claim God exists, the burden of proof is on them to prove his or her existence. How could one prove God exists? For one, God could go on TV and tell us he exists. Without concrete proof that can be corroborated by anyone, there simply isn't a reason to accept the God theory.
